An Air France aircraft carrying 215 people from Brazil has disappeared from radar screens over the Atlantic Ocean, according to reports.
A spokeswoman for Paris Charles de Gaulle airport said contact was lost with the flight from Rio de Janeiro at 0600 GMT. She told AFP news agency the plane had been expected to arrive in Paris at 1110 local time (0910 GMT).

Un Airbus d'Air France transportant 215 passagers et qui assurait la liaison Rio de Janeiro-Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle a disparu des écrans radars lundi à 6h00 au large des côtes brésiliennes.

Un Airbus d'Air France a disparu des écrans radars. A son bord : 216 passagers et 12 membres d'équipage en provenance de Rio de Janeiro au Brésil. L'airbus A 330 devait se poser à 11h10 heure de Paris à l'aéroport de Roissy.
"L'inquiétude est très grande à Roissy. L'avion a disparu des écrans de contrôle il y a plusieurs heures. Il peut s'agir d'une panne du transbondeur mais ce genre de panne est très rare", a déclaré une source aéroportuaire. Un PC crise a été ouvert à Roissy dans la matinée.
La direction d'Air France n'était pas joignable lundi matin
