[Tournament] Het FOK! jaren '40 Film Tournament

* De jaren '40
een tijdperk dat natuurlijk voor de helft gekleurd werd door de oorlog en de andere helft met de opbouw en naweeën ervan, het begin van de Koude Oorlog en de onafhankelijkheid van verschillende koloniën. Maar ondanks dit alles werden er toendertijd, vooral in Amerika begrijpelijk, ook films gemaakt. En niet geheel onverdienstelijk. Daarom is het hoogtijd dat we eens gaan bepalen wat nou de beste film van dat tijdperk was.

Om de toegankelijkheid zo groot mogelijk te maken en ervoor te zorgen dat er geen excessen plaats vinden, waarbij een obscuur filmpje het dankzij 1-0 overwinningen tot de kwart finale brengt, zullen de nominatie regels iets anders zijn normaal.

Voor deelname geldt:

Elke film met minder dan 2000 votes op imdb moet 5x genomineerd zijn
Voor films met meer dan 2000 votes geldt:

Imdb cijfer is een 8.0 of hoger 3 nominaties.

Imdb cijfer tussen een 6.0 en 8.0 4 nominaties

Imdb cijfer lager dan een 6.0 5 nominaties.

Verdere regels:

Bij gelijk spel beslist eerst het imdb cijfer, daarna het aantal votes op imdb, daarna het cijfer op Moviemeter, daarna het aantal votes op Moviemeter.

Nee, dat gaan we niet splitsen. Is juist de bedoeling dat het een groter toegankelijker tournament wordt i.t.t. de kleinere jaar-tournaments. Jaren 90 hebben we toch ook niet gesplitst, terwijl daar het aantal mensen dat films heeft gezien zelfs nog groter is. Daarom ook de versterkte nominaties eisen om het ook weer niet te absurd te maken.

Een klein verzoekje: Kunnen jullie asjeblieft titels schrijven op deze manier: The Spiral Staircase (1945) i.p.v. Spiral Staircase, The (1945)? Dat scheelt mij redelijk wat werk van het bij elkaar zoeken. En buitenlandse titels met de niet-engelse naam (en als het even kan de Engelse erachter, maar dat hoeft niet per se)?

Ik zit erover te denken om de nominatie eis voor films met minder dan 2000 votes te verzwakken naar 4. Wat vinden jullie daarvan?
