ORANJESTAD In order to re-arrest the three suspects in the Holloway-case, justice used phone tapping and infiltration to get new evidence. Amigoe learned this from reliable sources. Suspect Joran van der Sloot, who arrives in Aruba this evening, is supposedly being accompanied by Chief of Police Dolphi Richardson.
The examining magistrate will interrogate Van der Sloot this Monday, in the presence of his lawyer. The session is not public and takes place at an unknown location. Chances are that after the first order expires on Wednesday, the Public Prosecutor (OM) will extend his arrest with eight days. The examining magistrate has interrogated the brothers Kalpoe today.
Amigoe has learned that the telephones of Joran van der Sloot and his family and of the brothers Kalpoe have already been tapped since the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. As part of the investigation, justice has also put in a confidant that infiltrated within the group of suspects. Already earlier did the former leader of the investigation, former Chief of Police Gerold Dompig want to use this last method of criminal investigation, which is new in Aruba. ?But that was considered too expensive at that moment.? The suspects asked the OM last year to put an end to the ?dragging? case by either dropping it or persecuting them officially. Especially the father of Joran, Paul van der Sloot, wanted to drop the seal of suspect. He succeeded and the criminal investigation on him was officially stopped. ?The brothers Kalpoe and his son tried the same and requested the judge to no longer consider them as suspects. Last year the OM agreed to close the case this year and that the suspects will know where they stand; thus they were in a hurry?, said Dompig. The OM had till December 31 to decide whether to persecute the suspects or not,.
LAW SUIT
The OM wants to prevent that the suspects talk to each other and tune to their declarations. The lawyers? firm David Kock & Wix was not allowed to conduct the defence of Satish (21) as well as Deepak (24). Both were brought up today. The OM decided via a claim with the examining magistrate that the firm can only defend Deepak. Satish is now adjudged lawyer Jomar Figaroa. The lawyers David Kock, Ronald Wix, and Elgin Zeppenfeldt, who are also bound to the firm, will probably institute a law suit against this. ?To find the truth, it is not good that both suspects are defended by the same group of lawyers. To me it is also problematic when the one passes information to the other?, reacts Mos. With that, Mos refers to the past, when the same suspects had fixed an alibi, while what had happened to Natalee Holloway was not even made public yet. The OM still finds this peculiar.

"You are informing me that you have several questions for me and want to hear an answer to those questions. I am prepared to give them.
To your question whether I know a girl named "Karen" and whether I had a sexual relationship with her, I answer you the following. I know the girl named "Karen". I do not know Karen's last name. I had a sexual relationship with her but I do not remember the time period. (By Karen we mean the witness "Karen Theresa Paulina MARTINA"; remark JACOBS).
To your question whether I had a sexual relationship with Karen during "Carnaval" this year, I answer you in the affirmative. During the "fakkeloptocht" this year I was dancing in the "Last-Lap". I think it was near the bridge of the "Renaissance Hotel" when I saw Karen. I saw that Karen went to dance with Jaime CAARASQUILLA, nickname "Beto". I suspect that Karen was drinking at that moment in time but I did not see that. After the "fakkeloptocht" "Jaime CARRASQUILLA", "Freddy ZEDAN", "Karen" and myself walked to "Carlos & Charlies". His statement that was given in Papiamento was translated and transcribed by me, JACOBS, into Dutch and goes as follows.

"You are informing me that you have several questions for me and want to hear an answer to those questions. I am prepared to give them.
To your question whether I know a girl named "Karen" and whether I had a sexual relationship with her, I answer you the following. I know the girl named "Karen". I do not know Karen's last name. I had a sexual relationship with her but I do not remember the time period. (By Karen we mean the witness "Karen Theresa Paulina MARTINA"; remark JACOBS).
To your question whether I had a sexual relationship with Karen during "Carnaval" this year, I answer you in the affirmative. During the "fakkeloptocht" this year I was dancing in the "Last-Lap". I think it was near the bridge of the "Renaissance Hotel" when I saw Karen. I saw that Karen went to dance with Jaime CAARASQUILLA, nickname "Beto". From what I can recall there were 3 girls who said they were allegedly drugged and abused by Joran and they were all classmates. One of the girls Fathers gave a interview and he said what he read happened to Natalee sounded eerily familiar to what his daughter described. She said Joran gave her a drink that numbed her mouth and then she was assaulted while losing conscioussness. Apparently they were all willing to go to NY for the civil trial that never happened.
When Deepak,Satish and Freddy were arrested in 2005 the rumors were they were involved in a gang rape where they filmed the victim. Several people mentioned this and rape charges were added to K2 and I believe Joran. Geraldo also reported a incident involving gang rape and filming very early in the case. The Attorneys,Jaime and others said there were pictures taken of a young girl in a bikini and they were passed around and thats it.
There were accusations from the VDS camp that the Holloway Family tried to bribe Karen and the other girls into giving false testimony and you can see pics of Val and Karen together after all of this. The Family claims that all 3 girls were coming forward and sought help from councelors and attorneys until lead detective Dennis Jacobs talked to all 3 and they backed down. I do not think any of these young girls willingly was involved in a porno video.

In talking with an adult professional from Aruba who knew Joran, the individual stated that Joran often bragged to him of his many "sexual conquests" resulting from the use of an illicit substance slipped into a woman's drink and the Aruban individual suggested Joran was a "psychopath."

If someone is affected by GHB, the people they are with gain complete control over them. Taking the drug is like flipping a light switch. The person who slips the girl the drug has the control. Then the next day, the girl has no recollection of the events."

Now, another source from Mountain Brook has come forward and offered an eyewitness account more in line with the Internet message which suggests Natalee Holloway did, at least once, walk out of Carlos and Charlies alone.
A witness outside of Carlos and Charlies that night states that Natalee Holloway came out of the club alone and appeared to be looking for someone. She stood in front of the night club for a short time and did present the appearance of someone who had been drinking, though she was certainly standing and in complete control. The words used to describe her appearance were "a little tipsy."
While an earlier report of a confrontation between Joran Van der Sloot and a male graduate from Mountain Brook may be true, I have not been able to independently confirm that story. I have been able to confirm a skirmish the previous night between Deepak Kalpoe and a student from Mountain Brook. It was presented more as a minor conflict soon forgotten and easily broken up by a friend other than a Mr. Reynolds, who has claimed to break up a fight between Joran Van der Sloot and a Mountain Brook student.
As to what became of Natalee Holloway, one witness insists that after standing in front of Carlos and Charlies alone and looking about for a short time - she actually re-entered the night club for a brief period. She then emerged not with Joran Van der Sloot, but with Deepak Kalpoe, who is said to have had her by the arm in a manner suggesting he was helping her to maintain her balance.
The two are reported to have walked off down the street, turning the corner - possibly into a small alley, or a side street.
One possibility is that Natalee was actually looking for Joran Van der Sloot and relying upon Deepak Kalpoe to take her to him. That opinion is speculation and unconfirmed.
Update: This shouldn't be interpreted to mean that the three suspects and Natalee Holloway didn't eventually get in a car together. It is simply another thread in the story. It is quite possible that the four came back to the front of C&C. But this is a solid report, as solid as anything else. More so in some ways to me as I have spoken to the source for an extended period of time. The version has not changed and is, as stated, an eyewitness account from a verified source. 130 anyone's can see 130 things and many may fit into a timeline which makes none of them wrong. I am only reporting what I have verified through sources and what I have not.

In what was a controversial story at the time, I reported that Natalee Holloway left Carlos and Charlies with Deepak Kalpoe and not Joran Va der Sloot. In addition to sources used for that first report, I have now confirmed through another independent witness that the report was in fact accurate.
In attempts to re-construct the time-line for the night of Natalee Holloway's disappearance, it now seems that she did leave first with Joran Van der Sloot - but the two did not walk off together immediately.
At some point after most of Natalee's friends drifted away, Joran v d Sloot and Satish Kalpoe are thought to have left the front of the club, perhaps to return to Deepak's car.
Natalee then went back inside the club very briefly before emerging with the elder Kalpoe brother, who, as previously reported, was said to have been holding her by the arm. That has been described as non-romantic in nature and more consistent with an effort to assist one as they walk. At some point during that time period an unidentified Mountain Brook student is reported to have asked her if she was "Okay." It's believed she responded that she was.
The two are said to have been observed walking up the street from C and C some 80 to 100 yards, passing by the other nightclubs on the street until at or through a nearby intersection. At some point time after they disappeared from view, the three boys and Natalee Holloway are reported to have come back through the area, all seated in the car of Deepak Kalpoe. The car containing Natalee Holloway is said to have been observed by another Mountain Brook student who was located upon the porch of another nightclub.

The acquaintance hung out with the other Mountain Brook students, including Natalee, and they were all drinking a lot. Everyone was dancing during the night and, at one point, Natalee got up on the bar and danced. The acquaintance followed, then others joined them. When the bar was closing, the acquaintance went out front to catch a cab with some people he had met from another high school. He said that he noticed that he and Natalee were the last two Mountain Brook students to leave the bar. He had been outside with his three new friends when he saw Natalee exit the bar by herself. She told him she was looking for someone. He knew from hanging out with her in the bar that she had been drinking, but she was walking without assistance and talking coherently. He offered to have her join him and his friends for the cab ride back to the hotel, but she said no. Instead, she reentered the bar. After about fifteen or twenty minutes, the boy again saw Natalee emerge from Carlos'n Charlie's, but now she was stumbling and needed Deepak's assistance to walk. They walked away, and the acquaintance never saw him again.
I spoke to a police investigator on one of my trips back to Aruba over the months following Natalee's disappearance, and he told me that, based on the way her acquaintance described her, the drug GHB was probably administered to her. If someone is affected by GHB, the people they are with gain complete control over them. Taking the drug is like flipping a light switch. The person who slips the girl the drug has the control. Then the next day, the girl has no recollection of the events."

Why don't they go after Jorans lawyer Joe Tacopina then? He is the one that is saying the VCB shirt found in the beginning has relevent forensic material on it and part of this case. De advocaat van Joran heeft hier weinig tot niets aan gedaan. Uiteraard kan dat ook een strategie zijn. Er is altijd nog het spreekwoord "Je moet stilzitten als je geschoren wordt" !
Overigens doet het gerucht de ronde dat Joran momenteel student is op een universiteit in Thailand.
