Nog één keer staken 's werelds beste regisseurs de handen uit de mouwen. Ze wisten het: die verderfelijke wanstaltige onmodieuze jaren '80 komen eraan! "Laten we nog een goede film dit jaar maken" was hun gedachte en het resultaat mag er zijn hoor

Vijf films uit 1979 zijn te vinden in de Imdb-top 250 en elf in de Snob-top 1000 en er zijn zoveel films meer, die het waard zijn om deel te nemen aan dit tournament.

De regels?

Het welbekende nomineer-en-steun-principe

De film dient een lengte van 45 minuten of langer te hebben

Alleen stemmen op een duel, als je beide deelnemers gezien hebt.
