Ten eerste zijn de Arabische landen er buiten gehouden, ten tweede hebben de rechtmatige bewoners, de Palestijnen helemaal niet ingestemd met de oprichting van een Joodse staat op hun grondgebeid, ten derde werd de Joodse staat tweemaal zo groot uitgeroepen dan door de toenmalige Uno beoogd was.Er liggen dus talloze oorzaken aan de vijandigheid ten grondslag. Goed, dat zij zo, maar na de oorlog bij de start van deze staat heeft zij zich nog eens tot het viervoudige uitgebreid ten opzichte van de eerste start, en tenkoste van de daar wonende Palestijnen.
Dan zitten we inmiddels bij de grenzen van 1967.
De Palestijnen waren/zijn in allerlei vluchtelingenlingenkampen in de landen rond Israel ondergebracht en Israel heeft via de VN de resolutie, lees opdracht, gekregen om die Palestijnse vluchtelingen weer naar hun bezittingen terug te laten keren. Daar Israel geen gevolg gaf aan deze resolutie ontstonden er veel kleine aanvallen vanuit Palestijnse organisaties. Deze had Israel geheel aan zichzelf te wijten.Men deed de Palstijnen geen recht, slimpie.
Intussen bevorderde Israel de immigratie van Joden uit alle delen van de wereld zodat er geen terugkeer van de Palestijnen meer mogelijk was. Vanzelfsprekend dat dat de woede van de Palestijnen op een gigantische manier uitlokte. Zij zaten nog steeds in erbarmelijke omstandigheden zonder gelijke burgerrechten van de gastlanden in de vluchtelingenkampen en wilden natuurlijk naar hun eigendommen terugkeren. Wie is hier nu naief eigenlijk?
Israel heeft nooit iets gedaan om hen ook maar op welke manier dan ook te helpen om hun lot te verbeteren, hen te compenseren, hen te helpen een nieuw bestaan op te bouwen of wat dan ook. Wat een stel hufters, vind je ook niet?
Maar om ze nu dan nog weer eens slachtoffer te maken van deze barbabij is toch echt alle humaniteit voorbij, vind je ook niet? Nu is er nog een klein kansje dat je een heel klein beetje goed zou kunnen maken van alle hufterigheid en alle barbarij in het verleden en daar zal dan ook voortvarend aan gewerkt moeten worden en niet aan het voortzetting van de hufterigheid en de barbarij.
Als je het nog niet begrijpt zal ik het nog op tien andere wijze formuleren, totdat je het wel begrijpt.
RAMALLAH - Een 27-jarige inwoner van de stad Ramallah op de Westelijke Jordaanoever, Saddam Hussein, hoopt dat met de arrestatie van zijn naamgenoot in Irak een einde komt aan de spot, het wantrouwen en de vernederingen waaraan hij door zijn naam blootgesteld is geweest.

Zou hij last van psychotische aanvallen hebben? Maar gevaarlijk, hoor, zo'n Hamasmannetje op de beeldbuis. Het had maar weinig gescheeld of hij had in enen alle beeldbuiskijkers naar RTL4 neergemaaid.
Gelukkig heb ik na vele avonturen een kogelvrije beeldbuis, dus bij mij komt hij er niet door.

Leiderschap VS in Midden-Oosten.
Amerika moet nieuw leiderschap tonen in het conflict tussen Israel en de Palestijnen. Dat is essentieel om tot vrede te komen. Dat betoogde generaal Wesley Clark gidsteren in Den Haag.
Clark zei dat hooggeplaatste Amerikaanse onderhandelaars permanent in het gebied aanwezig moeten zijn (zijn ze dat dan nog niet, schande!)
Zij zullen steeds heen en weer moeten pendelen tussen Israel en de Palestijnse gebieden. Tegelijk zullen zij in hun gesprekken risico's moeten durven nemen om tot een overeenkomst te komen.
Het akkoord dat prominente Israeli's en Palestijnen onlangs in Geneve bereikten over vrede tussen beide partijen, noemde Clark een bewijs dat een overeenkomst haalbaar is. Het brengt hoop.
Clark verweet de Amerikaanse refering nu te weinig te doen. We moeten meer doen door diplomatieke stappen te nemen. We moeten de leiding nemen om de routekaart naar vrede nieuw leven in te blazen.

In ieder geval iemand die meer druk achter de zaak wil zetten, alhoewel er hoogstwaarschijnlijk echte drukmiddelen nodig zullen blijken om deze barbarij daadwerkelijk te stoppen.

Op die bemaskerde soldaten, 't lijken wel buitenaardse wezens, van Ali Baba met geweren die om een hoekje kunnen schieten is natuurlijk een eenvoudig antwoord.
