Aangezien ik door PES3 de laatste tijd zin had om een voetbal game te spelen was ik wezen kijken wat voor soccergames er voor de Cube waren. PES is er niet voor de Cube, het geweldige Winning Eleven alleen in Japan, en Fifa zuigt. Na het lezen van een aantal recensies viel ook ISS af en kwam ik uit bij Disney Sports Soccer, een voetbal spel van Konami wat al een tijdje te koop is.
Disney?
Ja Disney, uit veel recensies bleek op te maken dat deze game kiddy lijkt ('t blijft een Cube spel) maar erg profi speelt. Verder leek het magic systeem me wel leuk (kan je uitzetten) en scheen de gameplay erg goed te zijn.

Maar is dat nou leuk?

. Ben nou al een tijdje aan het spelen en ik vind het een erg leuke game met goede gameplay. Een hele verademing na het spelen van de nieuwe Fifa afgelopen week.
En wat vindt de pers?
IGN zegt het volgende in haar review:
This game took me by complete surprise. It may not be the game realization of Disney's classic Bedknobs and Broomsticks animal soccer match, but it's a fine playing soccer game in its own right. Where I was expecting a shallow, easy to play kid's game, I got a complex, well-controlling soccer game that just happens to star Disney characters. Where I was expecting fast arcade fun, I found something more akin to Konami's other soccer titles: strategic passing play and deep controls. While I can appreciate the gameplay, the presentation skews this game towards a younger audience -- one that can't possibly appreciate the control scheme and upgrade structure. Points off for the "identity crisis" approach and the slim roster of characters, but the game plays well, feels like soccer, and looks polished enough, making it easy to forgive the lack of variety in the character and game mode departments.
If you're a soccer fan and you're not "too cool" to be caught dribbling a soccer ball past Minnie Mouse and a horde of pink rabbits, give this game a look. It's as close to Winning Eleven as US soccer fans will get for a long time.

Ja! Dit spel kost maar 14,99 bij de intertoys. Voor die prijs zou ik hem zeker niet laten liggen als je ook maar een beetje van voetbal games houdt.

Vond vroeger ISS op de N64 supergoed dus dit zal wel ongeveer hetzelfde spelen dan.

Je hebt toch ook disney sports basketball. Lijkt me veel toffer. Bij de bijenkorf gezien voor 60 euro waar alle spellen achtelijk duur zijn. Sega soccer slam lijkt me trouwens een cooler voetbalspel en die is ook erg goedkoop.
