Concord Dawn are one of New Zealands highest selling electronic artists, and have been in the New Zealand University b-net radio charts top 10 for longer than any act in history. With several releases already in stores, their album 'Disturbance' is due for release in Europe on June 10th, 2002.

Last year the boys picked up the "Best Electronic Release" and "Best Independent Album", at the b-net music awards in recognition of their hard work over the last year and a half. Accolades such as these are evidence to prove they have earned a reputation as one of the most devastating live acts in New Zealand, creating a unique vibe on the dance floor that leaves everybody wet and smiling.

Influenced by Drum and Bass acts such as Bad Company and DJ Trace, Evan Short (Kiljoy) and Matt Harvey (Matty C) formed the distinctive sound that is Concord Dawn.

Throughout the last three years Matt and Evan have toured heavily throughout New Zealand; playing alongside Cause 4 Concern, Bad Company, Konflict and Bulletproof, been part of New Zealand and Australia's largest festivals such as The Big Day Out, Rippon and the Gathering, and have played throughout Europe, this year playing gigs in England, Belgium, France and Norway as well as Singapore and a six date tour of Australia.

International heavyweights such as Grooverider, Goldie, DJ Hype, Ed Rush, Dieselboy, Bad Company, Total Science, Digital,Trace, Klute, Bailey, Fierce, Marcus Intalex, Kemal, Cause for Concern and many others have been playing Concord Dawn, proving that its not just homegrown pride that has contributed to their success here in New Zealand. DJ magazine, a respected UK publication, gave their first British vinyl release 4 out of 5 stars, In addition, "Coda", Frances most respected dance magazine, gave "Disturbance" a 10/10 review.

Other reviews and interviews have appeared in English magazines as IDJ, Mixmag, Seven, Knowledge and magazines from Germany, Belgium and Estonia. Check the November 2002 issue of Mixmag for John Bs "Trance and Bass" mix cd, containing three Concord Dawn tunes, and also an upcoming "DJ" magazine for the "Hot tips for 2003".

So far this year Concord Dawns track 'Morning Light' has received a large amount of success internationally. It has been rated as one of the top tunes of the 2002 Miami Winter Music Conference and was often used as the opening track of many DJs sets, which secured them an invitation to showcase at the Winter Music Conference 2003.

Originally licensed to L-Plates, 'Morning Light' was released on Timeless Recordings in July 2002, alongside another one of their tracks entitled 'Check This Sound' which will be the b-side.

Concord Dawn recently charted at #3 on Goldies top 20 with "Morning Light (Please Don't Cry)", also making #1 on chemical records online sales site, top ten placings on groovetech uk and usa sales charts, and #1 on breakbeat.co.uk most listened singles chart.
