What is a Theremin?
A Theremin is a unique electronic musical instrument. It is unique in that the person playing it never comes into physical contact with it, except to turn on the power, and tune it. The sound it produces is just as unique.

A Theremin
The loop antenna controls the volume, and the vertical antenna controls the pitch. You control both by moving your hands closer to, or away from, each antenna. The closer your hand is to the volume antenna, the softer the sound. The closer your hand is to the pitch antenna, the higher the pitch.
Whether you know it or not, you've heard a Theremin before. It was a staple of soundtracks for 1950s monster/men from space movies such "The Day the Earth Stood Still." It produces that creepy "Woooo ooooooo" sound that (I guess) is supposed to evoke thoughts of things not of this earth.
If you've never seen one of the 50s flicks that uses the Theremin, then you've certainly heard the Beach Boys song "Good Vibrations." That high-pitched "wooooooo" sound in the background is produced by a Theremin.
The Theremin was invented in the 1920s by a Russian inventor named Lev Termen who, when he came to America in the late 1920s, changed his name to Leon Theremin.

Deze cd hoort straks in de hitlijsten-op-het-eind-van-het-jaar thuis. Genoeg briljante nummers, waarvan een aantal zeker geschikt zijn als single. Alleen jammer dat ze inderdaad alleen maar getekend bestaan... Ze horen gewoon op een festival of zo.

ff serieus: dit is niet echt wat ik dr van verwacht had... ik verwachte meer zoals 19-2000 en clint eastwood maar t mocht niet zo zijn (vind ik) jammer
