Het is ook niet gek. Dat soort mensen die altijd gewend zijn geweest om te krijgen waar ze denken recht op te hebben en worden nu opeen geconfronteerd met het feit dat er consequenties aan hun daden zitten.
Het vreemde is ook vooral dat mensen zich zo identificeren met dit soort mannen aan de top afkomstig uit de elite. Het hele idee 'maar als dit hun kan overkomen, dan kan het mij ook overkomen' is schromelijk overdreven. Het is eerder te vergelijken met instemmen met belastingkortingen voor mensen met een inkomen van boven de vijf miljoen, want wie weet word je zelf wel ooit zo rijk. Dat is eigenlijk het soort sentiment dat de GOP al tijden uitbuit.
