Het Hoofd?
Joah! Het hoofd van Matt van ESCunited welteverstaan. We kijken hier namelijk jaarlijks altijd veel en graag naar zijn hoofd (vandaar 'Het Hoofd', ha!), zowel zijn Eurovisie reactievideo's als zijn livestreams tijdens de repetitieperiode. Hij heeft namelijk altijd persaccreditatie waardoor hij bij elk ESF aanwezig is en alle repetities kan zien. Wij mogen die repetities niet live zien van de organisatie, maar Het Hoofd beschrijft altijd tijdens zijn streams tot in detail live wat hij ziet en hoort. Bv "OH EM GEE WHAT IS SHE WEARING??" toen hij Trijntje zag repeteren.
Vandaar, tijd voor een Adoratietopic voor de Mattfans waar we zijn leukste en meest opvallende YouTubes kunnen plaatsen en waarin we straks ook zijn streams van commentaar kunnen voorzien.

Wat die ander (links) erbij doet weet ik niet, hij kan zich niet zo goed verwoorden, heeft wat meer afwijkende meningen en je ziet aan de anderen dat er wat minder chemie onderling is. Misschien dat een in Lissabon aanwezige Fok!ker hem later kan komen vervangen.

Staging includes good camera work, making sure he connects with the audience and just general shots. I expect a fairly "simple" staging with an appropriate backdrop. as long as he keeps his nerves and connects with the viewers, then I see great things in store for Duncan.
I don't think they will mess up the staging this time. Pancake has ruined it so often, statistically speaking, he should do a good job now lol. And I have the feeling that Duncan really has creative ideas as well. So no worries.

His nerves are the most important I agree. I tneeds to be right from the first note and it's a pretty difficult song. But he's shown he can do it live. I hope he can do it in front of millions of people watching. Fingers crossed.

I think Amsterdam has the most change to organise Eurovision 2020 due to more capacity and being the capital.
It depends on the venues available. Both Ahoy in Rotterdam and the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam (which is pretty much next to AFAS, where EIC will be) are serious contenders.quote:

The plus side to Ahoy is that it is a huge complex with several other conference rooms and such, so the press centre can then be under the same roof as the arena.
However, the plus side to Ziggo Dome is that it has a slightly bigger capacity and it's pretty easy to build a new stage there. I also have the feeling that the EBU will prefer Amsterdam as host city.

Personally I would like Rotterdam to be the host city, great modern upcoming city (and they do have a venue that I think will do just fine (Rotterdam Ahoy)).

It's really tough to guess the Top 3 at this point but I feel like the Betting Odds are fairly accurate and close to my prediction.
Tough question, every host city had its pros and cons. I think my favorite ESC was 2016 in Stockholm...so much fun.quote:

Rotterdam and Amsterdam are really close in distance and have great train connections (41 minutes with the intercitytrain and quite affordable), so even if you do end up in the different city from te organising one, it shouldn't really give much problems.quote:

Capital city, bigger venue, easier to reach because of Schiphol Airport and to be honest for most tourists Amsterdam = The Netherlands.

If we win (jinxetty jinx jinxxxxx), there will be enough time to plan the Football competition schedule but the Ziggo Dome and maybe AFAS will have to pre-empt for preparations. This means they would miss out on lucrative bookings from other artists (there’s basically shows there at least three times a week) and I’m not sure if they want to miss out on this financially.
With the Ahoy’ in Rotterdam, you have a venue that’s also very suitable (but with a slightly lower capacity) and which has more ‘free time’ in between shows since Ziggo Dome is basically the go-to venue for any big artist performing in the Netherlands nowadays.
Also, accommodation-wise, Rotterdam is more spacious and welcoming, Amsterdam is always so BUSY.
My guess is still Amsterdam though but I wouldn’t be surprised if Amsterdam simply says no.

Also, hotel accommodation is generally cheaper in Rotterdam (or better, less expensive) so Rotterdam wouldn’t be a bad choice at all.

I've no idea how much fun the Amsterdam Calling event is, since i've never attended one myself.

I’ve never attended it before but from what I’ve heard and read on the website it’s more like a celebration of Eurovision with mostly former Dutch entries of yesteryear, EyeCue and the legendary SuRie. And lots of songs played by DJ’s. So it’s more like a party celebrating the past. I’m sure it’s tons of fun with lots of dancing and singing along. I doubt it can top the sheer greatness that is Eurovision in Concert though.
