Yungblut heeft ook echt nog een hele tijd met d'r schouder uit de kom gelopen voor de boel eindelijk gefixed was
quote:
This was the only way I could think of to share this news...leaving most of the emotion out:
In biathlon, people often ask me about breath control. In the heart rate monitor data here, from two days ago, you can see my warmup, and the pause in the start gate.
Then, instead of the hard effort/high heart rate around 198-205 I would normally have during a race, you can see my attempt to control my breathing for an hour and twenty-five excruciating minutes. This was because my shoulder was out of it's socket during this time period, until I was finally put under and the emerg doc got it back in the joint. I very publically dislocated it during the first push out of the start gate in the Sprint at OECH.
Needless to say my race season is over as I fly back to Canada for surgery, and I have no clue what my future, if any, in elite sport is. I do know I can't thank the canadian team, my family, friends, and sponsors enough for their support.
