Er waren 6000 mannen tussen rondom de 16 en 40 jaar oud alleen van m'n hometown en omliggende dorpjes die niet terug kwamen. Ik weet niet wat de procentage van die generatie was, maar heel veel van m'n moeders generatie geen opas hadden.
En de mannen die heeft 't wel overleeft vaak shell-shock (PTSD), aandoeningen,en veel anderen gezondsheids klachten hadden. Dan vaak van de tijd de soldaten van heel erg armoedige achtergronds waren.

How true that is I don't know tbh.
And then quite often in many cases the soldiers didn't die from German bombs or bullets for 'King and Country' at all, they died from horrible diseases in freezing muddy trenches.
And around that same time the newsreels in the cinemas were showing films of training exercises on Salisbury Plain and the public were being led to believe that it was real war footage. At the same time there was a shortage of shells in the real 'theatre of war'.
Photos of the WWI aerial dogfights have also been proved to be faked.btw.

Maybe there were people who questioned the validity of the photographs at the time but were ignored and/or labelled as 'crazy conspiracy theorists'.

Ze hadden zelfs een maand later die foto nog kunnen maken, kijk deze is wel bewerkt.
De man die de vlag aan geeft had 2 horloges om en ze hebben er een weg geveegd,
ff opnieuw die foto maken is lastig, die van dat vliegtuig totaal niet..
Maar vertel, hoe maak je in de jaren 50, 60, 70,80 zo'n mooie paddenstoel video, ow en veel van die atoom bom beelden werden gewoon uitgezonden, niet allemaal maar behoorlijk aantal wel, plus er waren zelfs een aantal waarbij je live kon mee kijken.

Dat is een erg bekende foto, alleen het feit dat het een lijkenpikker betreft die horloges heeft gestolen van z'n vijanden, komt niet erg goed over als je betreffende foto als propaganda gaat gebruiken voor de "eervolle USSR soldaat."quote:

Waarom zouden de "Enola Gay" letters niet gecurved zijn? Wil je hiermee beweren dat ze het later digitaal erin hebben gezet? Dat is namelijk niet echt logisch, als de foto gestaged is, waarom zouden ze dan de letters niet erop plakken vóór de foto werd genomen?quote:

The base, just five minutes drive from the Sunset Strip, was used as an Air Force film studio between 1947 and 1969 and made 20,000 movies - more than the whole of Hollywood.
Films of the nuclear tests at Nevada were processed here under the tightest security controls and high-ranking military officials would come to view the footage.
It was not until the 1990s that the existence of the military base was revealed to the public.
The building was converted to a spacious residential property and is now back on the market.
At the height of its use by the Air Force, the compound had soundstages, screening rooms and film processing labs just like any other Hollywood film studio.
Over 250 people, including civilians seconded from Warner Brothers, worked as cameramen, producers and directors at the military facility.
Each one cleared to access top secret and restricted data and sworn to secrecy regarding the activities at the studio.
For 22 years the studio produced millions of feet of classified film and thousands of stills for the military.
Beginning with the first nuclear test in 1945, there was a need to capture the testing with still and moving pictures to help enhance the understanding knowledge of the behaviour of nuclear weapons.
Some of the best talent in the film industry were recruited to work at the studio to film the nuclear blasts.
Staff used specially constructed bunkers in the test area to house remotely-controlled cameras, and took to the skies in planes directly behind the bombers.

Only a few dozen of the films made at Lookout Mountain have been declassified.
