Dat klopt het heet formeel: Portret von Adèle Bloch-Bauer I maar is beter bekend onder een andere naam die ook de naam van deze film is. Het schilderij is nazi roofkunst en na veel procederen is het naar de wettige erfgenaam gegaan, Maria Altman (hier gespeeld door Britse Grand Dame HM) die het prompt heeft verkocht en het hangt nu in de Neue Galerie in New York en het is een bijna magisch doek al zeg ik het zelf.
