Ik ben met iemand aan het praten die in bezit is van twee Ampex Quadruplex 2 inch video spoelen. Waarschijnelijk van een TV station.
1 groot en 1 "klein"
Op de banden staan Apollo live beelden, ik denk Apollo 17 omdat ik Eugene Cernan zag op de grote spoel.
Hij gaat proberen beide banden te digitalizeren na 2 weken.
Hier een screenshot van de video, de speler was hier nog in restauratie (2016) en speelt nu veel beter af:
Verder heb ik via iemand nog een bron van banden gevonden, deze keer Apollo 16.

I was surprised to see an old RCA TR-70B quad VTR on display; in my college years I'd operated this same model as a summer broadcast engineering intern at WMPB-TV in Baltimore. Judging from the English and the crowfoot power outlets, it appeared to be an Australian or New Zealand model; they used PAL as did Germany.
I learned that during Apollo this site had recorded video directly from the moon; the tape on the machine was labeled Apollo 16. However, both it and the machine were in terrible shape and would obviously require a lot of TLC to make functional again. And I don't know if the tapes would be recoverable. I think I was told that additional tapes were in storage. If anybody ever wanted to investigate reading them, I'm sure they'd be happy to help."
Hem heb ik een bericht gestuurd over de banden en speler, hopelijk kunnen de Apollo 16 banden waarop het signaal direct van de Maan is opgenomen afgespeeld worden.

Als ik meer weet laat ik dat horen.

Tijdens Apollo gebruikte NASA en MiT ruim 60% van geproduceerde Integrated Circuits. Het was bleeding-edge technologie, maar het kon niet anders.quote:

Ik ben op het moment bezig om een simpele 8bit computer te bouwen van 74LSxx chips, wat effectief een paar jaar jonger is dan de chips die ze in de AGC gebruikten. Misschien ben je die ook wel eens tegen gekomen, de breadboard computer van Ben Eater.quote:

De lancering op de video lijkt van Apollo 15 te zijn, maar verder is alles van Apollo 16.
Raar, Misschien hadden ze betere beelden van Apollo 15 lancering dan van Apollo 16.
Either way, if anyone claims NASA edited old live recordings with modern CGI, they now have a third party source to prove this.
