“I think every Republican who voted for this thing ought to have to stand in front of their voters and explain it," Maloney said. “And if it takes a Democrat to go in and do it for them for a while, I'll explain what's in this bill, and if he doesn't like it, he should stand up and explain it himself.”

En dan nog, als die Flynn een gevaar voor nationale veiligheid vormt dan neem je maatregelen. Als op 9 November Trump en zijn gezelschap aankomt bij het Witte Huis dan zeg je dus als overheid dat Flynn geen toegang krijgt tot gevoelige info en dat die kerel weg moet.
Aangezien Trump mensen als Gen. Mattis, Gen. Kelly, Dan Coats etc. om zich heen heeft, hoef je niet te veel heibel maken om Flynn. Flynn geen toegang, dan doen Mattis of Kelly het wel.
Trump is niet gewaarschuwd door Yates, McGahn was het aanspreekpunt voor Yates en die hebben verschillende gesprekken gehad waarin (volgens Yates) McGahn tijd nodig had om dit te onderzoeken (niet gek, als je beseft hoeveel nu nog niet duidelijk is).
