De Noorse politie heeft een gigantisch netwerk van pedofielen ontdekt, die via het Darkweb beelden uitwisselden. Ze konden 51 mensen identificeren, onder hen heel wat hoog opgeleiden, en opvallend veel mensen met “een actieve rol in de samenleving”.
“Dit is het grootste pedofilienetwerk ooit. De verdachten komen uit alle lagen van de samenleving, maar er zijn opvallend veel hoog opgeleiden bij, en allen hebben ze meer dan gewone computervaardigheden”, vertelde de Noorse politie op een persconferentie over hun ophefmakende ontdekkingen.
Ze zijn met de zaak bezig sinds 2015, toen een 22-jarige pedofiel werd opgepakt voor geslachtsgemeenschap met een 14-jarig meisje in Bergen. Bij de man werd ook een grote hoeveelheid pornografisch materiaal aangetroffen. Dat bleek hij te ontvangen en te verspreiden in een groot netwerk van pedofielen. Ze maakten gebruik van het zogenaamde Darkweb. Het is een anoniem netwerk, waarvoor je specifieke tools nodig hebt, en waar je je niet met gewone browsers als Internet Explorer of Chrome op kan begeven.
Een gespecialiseerd team kon toch 5.000 gebruikersnamen terugvinden, dat leidde tot 51 arrestaties. Het zijn allemaal mannen, die ofwel zelf kinderen hebben misbruikt, of online actief waren op het pedofiele netwerk. Het misbruik trof kinderen van alle leeftijden, zelfs zuigelingen.
Opvallend aan deze ‘operatie Darkroom’ is dat bijna alle verdachten een actieve rol in de samenleving hadden. Het blijken geen teruggetrokken zonderlingen, integendeel. Het gaat om studenten, een chauffeur, een kleuterleider, een advocaat en zelfs twee politici. De arrestaties zijn daarom erg schokkend voor de omgeving van de verdachten en de Noorse samenleving.
De minister van Justitie heeft de politie geprezen voor haar werk.

De politie heeft in Noorwegen een netwerk van pedofielen opgerold. Twintig van 51 verdachten zijn inmiddels aangehouden.
Volgens de politie behoren onder meer politici onder de verdachten. Twintig van de 51 verdachten zijn volgens Noorse media inmiddels aangehouden, waaronder een vader die zijn eigen kinderen misbruikte.
De verdachten komen voornamelijk uit de regio's rond de steden Bergen en Oslo. Volgens politiechef Gunnar Floystad zijn veel van de verdachten hoogopgeleide mannen. Ook een zoon van een politieofficier uit Bergen is betrokken bij de zaak.
De arrestaties zijn gevolg van een onderzoek naar het zogenoemde netwerk Dark Room, dat in 2015 begon na een tip van de FBI.

Via het verborgen internetnetwerk Darkweb wisselden pedofielen versleutelde berichten uit met anonieme accounts om hun sporen te verbergen. Zo'n vijfduizend accounts zijn door de politie in kaart gebracht. Volgens de politiechef is het de grootste misbruikzaak ooit in Noorwegen.
Inmiddels is er 150 terabytes aan data in beslag genomen met daarop foto's, video's en gesprekken tussen pedofielen. Het materiaal laat volgens de politie verschillende vormen van misbruik zien, waaronder misbruik van baby's, seks tussen kinderen onderling en seks met dieren.
Filipijnse kinderen
De politie sluit meer arrestaties niet uit. Door de grootte van de zaak heeft de politie "moeilijk beslissingen moeten maken" over de personen die als eerste zouden worden aangehouden. De verdachten die vermoedelijk achter de zwaarste vergrijpen zitten, behoren tot de arrestanten.
Volgens de politie zijn de slachtoffers voornamelijk van Noorse komaf, op een zaak met Filipijnse kinderen na.
Ook in de VS zijn arrestaties gedaan. De server van de website stond in Nederland.

An Internet pedophile ring with up to 70,000 members — thought to be the world's largest —has been uncovered by police, a security official said Wednesday.
The European police agency Europol said in a statement that "Operation Rescue" had identified 670 suspects and that 230 abused children in 30 countries had been taken to safety. More children are expected to be found, Europol said.
It said that so far 184 people had been arrested and investigations in some countries were continuing. Most of those detained are suspected of direct involvement in sexually abusing children.
They include teachers, police officers and scout leaders, AP reported. One Spaniard who worked at summer youth camps is suspected of abusing some 100 children over five years.
Europol director Rob Wainwright said Wednesday the ring, which communicated using an Internet forum, was "probably the largest online pedophile network in the world."

Cori Bassett, a public affairs officer for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said in an email that there had been five arrests and four convictions in connection with Operation Rescue in the U.S.
"Arrests so far have been made in Georgia and Connecticut. ICE continues to pursue the leads provided by Europol," she added.
The website was shut down following the three-year investigation, Europol said.
"The website operated from a server based in the Netherlands and, at its height, boasted up to 70,000 members worldwide," it added.
"It attempted to operate as a 'discussion–only' forum where people could share their sexual interest in young boys without committing any specific offences, thus operating 'below the radar' of police attention," Europol said.
"Having made contact on the site, some members would move to more private channels, such as email, to exchange and share illegal images and films of children being abused. Computers seized from those arrested have harvested huge quantities of child abuse images and videos," it added.
Police infiltrated site
The Europol statement said U.K. and Australian police infiltrated the site to identify the members who posed the greatest danger to children. Police also sometimes posed as children online as part of the investigation.
Law enforcement authorities from 13 countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada, Italy, Spain and the U.K., were involved in the case, Europol said.
The statement said Europol analysts had cracked the security features of a key computer server at the center of the network which uncovered the identities of suspected child sex offenders.
And, after his arrest, the forum's Dutch administrator helped police break encryption measures that shielded users' identities, allowing police to begin their covert investigations.
"Europol subsequently issued over 4,000 intelligence reports to police authorities in over 30 countries in Europe and elsewhere, which has led to the arrests of suspects and the safeguarding of children," Europol said.
Wainwright said he was proud of the "exceptional work of our experts in helping police authorities around the world to record these groundbreaking results."
"The safeguarding of so many vulnerable children is particularly rewarding and demonstrates the commitment of our agency to make Europe a safer place for its citizens," he added.
The investigation was led by Britain's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Center.
Peter Davies, of the center, said there would be more arrests as the investigations continue.
"Those who have been members of the site can expect a knock on the door in the very near future," he said.
In Britain, police said, the children involved were aged between 7 and 14.
Australian Federal Police commander Grant Edwards said suspects arrested in Australia ranged in age from 19 to 84 and used the Internet to "prey on children with anonymity, with subterfuge and with camouflage."
Children, Edwards said, "should be able to use the Internet safely, without fear of being approached or groomed by these online predators."

She told him that she was sold by her parents at birth and one of her first memories was believing it was normal for men to be fondling babies.
Kendall said: "They were all extremely rich and prominent in society. Sometimes they would just want to have sex with me and sometimes they'd make me have sex with different people.
"The clients were often physically abusive.
"The clients were even allowed to smother me with a pillow or plastic bag while having sex with me but they were never allowed to leave bruises on my face.

"The man who owns me constantly manipulated me and did awful things to me. He would make me be a dog, make me eat faeces - I was kept in a cage.
"Sometimes he would electrocute me as punishment. He said that all of this was happening because it was God's will because God made me for this."
She described being kept in a cage and flown around the world to meet "clients"
Kendall claimed she had six fake passports, which were used to fly her across the world and attend black-tie events with clients.
Despite now being free from the man who enslaved her, she still refers to him throughout the interview as "my owner".

A FORMER child sex slave has claimed she was raped, tortured and almost stabbed to death after being sold into an aristocratic paedo network at the age of six.
Anneke Lucas has shared her ordeal almost 50 years after she was allegedly forced to work for a sick “club” that operated within Belgium’s upper class.

The mum of one claimed she was raped for more than 1,700 hours before escaping at the age of 12 after five-and-a-half years of abuse.
She has never gone to police with her claims because she said she was scared into silence after allegedly watching kids getting killed by sadistic members as a “warning” to others.
Anneke told SunOnline: “It really was the most horrendous crimes you can imagine.
“Children were killed in the most brutal way because members were afraid they would speak out.
“And to make it worse, the abuse was from politicians and officials the public had put their trust in.”
A spokesman for the Federal Police in Belgium said they were unable to comment on Anneke’s claims.

Anneke, 53, said she was sold into the paedo network by a family member around her sixth birthday in 1969.
She claimed her family’s cleaning lady “abused and groomed her” before colluding with a relative to pimp her out to the exclusive club for drug-fuelled orgies.
She said: “Around my sixth birthday in 1969 I was taken to an orgy for the first time, in a castle.
“I was used for an S&M show, on a low stage, chained up with an iron dog collar, and made to eat human faeces.

She claims that despite her repeated protests, she was forced to return to the late night orgies, often held in castles and mansions, at least once a week for five-and-a-half years.
She said: “Usually we were brought into an orgy later on. We were the extra special drug. There were usually a few children, it was not just me.
“I’d end up with people in the private rooms.”
500 Kids Have Gone Missing In DC In 2017 — Sex Trafficking Fears Have Officials Asking FBI For Help

A total of 501 juveniles have been reported missing in D.C. since the beginning of the year. This startling number has forced the hands of several officials who’ve written a letter to call on special help from the Justice Department in investigating the matter.
The letter, obtained by the Associated Press, asked FBI Director James Comey and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to “devote the resources necessary to determine whether these developments are an anomaly or whether they are indicative of an underlying trend that must be addressed.” It was signed by Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Cedric Richmond (D-La) and Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton, who represents D.C. in Congress.
“Ten children of color went missing in our nation’s capital in a period of two weeks and at first garnered very little media attention. That’s deeply disturbing,” Richmond’s letter said.
As the AP reports, the District of Columbia logged 501 cases of missing juveniles, many of them black or Latino, in the first three months of this year, according to the Metropolitan Police Department, the city’s police force. Twenty-two were unsolved as of March 22, police said.
The Twitter profile for the DC police department is quite literally riddled with images of missing young Black and Latino girls. In spite of the officials’ concern and the posts on Twitter, police are assuring the public that there is nothing out of the ordinary.

Police then went on to dispel talk of these girls being kidnapped and sold into slavery by human traffickers.
“We have no indication to believe that young girls in the District are being preyed upon by human traffickers in large numbers,” said police commander Chanel Dickerson, leader of the Youth and Family Services division, according to NBC News 4.
Notice how Dickerson said “in large numbers” as a qualifier, meaning he didn’t rule out the fact that there are human traffickers in the area preying on young girls.
As the Free Thought Project pointed out on several occasions, some of these traffickers have already been caught in D.C. — and some of them have been cops.
Linwood Barnhill Jr., a veteran of the D.C. Police Department, was exposed by the Free Thought Project for running a child sex ring out of his house. In 2014, in an early morning search warrant issued for his Southeast D.C. apartment found a 15-year-old girl who had previously been reported missing by her parents.
When police rescued the girl she told officers that she had met six other girls inside the Southeast D.C. apartment who told her they were also being prostituted, including with ads posted on backpage.com. Barnhill also took naked photos of the girls, purportedly for use in advertisements for sex.
Marijuana, condoms and a large mirror were also seized from the apartment; law enforcement officials say that the seized mirror had the names of other females who were being trafficked written on it.
Around that same time, another cop in the area was also exposed and arrested for trafficking teens. Lamin Manneh, 32, of Baltimore, pleaded guilty to traveling across state lines and using a telephone and internet to operate a prostitution business using two teens he prostituted out over 300 times.
According to the AP, Wilson also said she is concerned about whether human trafficking is a factor, citing the case of 8-year-old Relisha Rudd, who has been missing since she vanished from a city homeless shelter in 2014. A janitor who worked at the shelter was found dead of apparent suicide during the search for the girl.
“They prey on the homeless, they prey on low-income children, they prey on the runaways, they prey online,” Wilson said.
“Whether these recent disappearances are an anomaly or signals of underlying trends, it is essential that the Department of Justice and the FBI use all of the tools at their disposal to help local officials investigate these events, and return these children to their parents as soon as possible,” Richmond said.

According to the anti-Human Trafficking group, Polaris, located in D.C., the number of trafficked humans in the US is startling.
Since 2007, the National Human Trafficking Hotline, operated by Polaris, has received reports of 22,191 sex trafficking cases inside the United States.
In 2016, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children estimated that 1 in 6 endangered runaways reported to them were likely sex trafficking victims.
The International Labor Organization estimates that there are 4.5 million people trapped in forced sexual exploitation globally.
In a 2014 report, the Urban Institute estimated that the underground sex economy ranged from $39.9 million in Denver, Colorado, to $290 million in Atlanta, Georgia.
Sadly, the US government appears to spend far more time looking for an illegal plant or for Tom Brady’s jersey, than they do on missing children.

In 1983, Dickens claimed there was a paedophile network involving "big, big names - people in positions of power, influence and responsibility" and threatened to name them in the Commons.[6] The next year, he campaigned for the banning of the pro-paedophile activism group of which Hayman was a member, the Paedophile Information Exchange.[6]
On 29 November 1985, Dickens said in a speech to the Commons that paedophiles were "evil and dangerous" and that child pornography generated "vast sums". He further claimed that: "The noose around my neck grew tighter after I named a former high-flying British diplomat [Hayman] on the Floor of the House. Honourable Members will understand that where big money is involved and as important names came into my possession so the threats began. First, I received threatening telephone calls followed by two burglaries at my London home. Then, more seriously, my name appeared on a multi-killer's hit list".[7]

Dickens had asked Brittan in 1983 to investigate the diplomatic and civil services and the royal court at Buckingham Palace over claims of paedophilia.[11] Dickens said that he was "going to give him [Brittan] a glimpse inside my private files, where people have written to me with information."[11]

The allegations being considered by the IPCC relate to the period between 1970 and 2005 and include failures to properly investigate child sex abuse offenses; the halting of an investigation relating to the abuse of young men in Dolphin Square, near Westminster because "officers were too near prominent people"; and that a Houses of Parliament document was found at a paedophile's address which linked "highly-prominent individuals" - including MPs and senior police officers - to a paedophile ring, but that no further action was taken.[30]
The IPCC will also consider claims that a child sex abuse victim's account was altered to remove the name of a senior politician, and that surveillance of a child abuse ring was curtailed because of "high-profile people being involved".[30] Shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper said: "Given the gravity of the crimes being investigated, it is worrying that this is not a fully independent investigation. Instead the Met will lead this work with oversight from the IPCC. Surely this should be done by an independent investigator or, at the very least an alternate force".[29]
However, Labour MP Simon Danczuk, who had been calling for such an inquiry, told the BBC: "We are on the cusp of finding out exactly what went on in the 70s and 1980s and, I'm sorry to say, I think it will be shown that senior politicians were involved in abuse and there was a cover up. I think that's inevitable now".[30] The BBC also reported that former Daily Mirror crime correspondent Jeff Edwards, who stated he was told by a detective in the 1980s that an investigation into paedophiles was closed on the orders of a senior politician, had recently been contacted by the police. He told the BBC: "I think this was a cynical cover up. There was no doubt in their minds the way they would deal with this was simply to expunge it from the record. As far as they were concerned they could make it go away forever".[30]

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lawyer John DeCamp is in his 70s, but two recent events put the author of The Franklin Cover-Up right back in the media spotlight.
DeCamp, a former state senator and a highly decorated Vietnam veteran, unraveled the Penn State child-sex scandal while investigating the Omaha child-pornography, child-prostitution ring that made him an icon.
"Apparently I had done something back then linking the football coach with Franklin," DeCamp said in a recent phone interview with this publisher. "They [media] called me from Pennsylvania, at least 20 calls...had to tell them the truth that yeah, I wrote the book but I don't remember everything I read or uncovered. I'd have to go back and look at my files. Somehow or another, [convicted pedophile and ex-defensive coordinator Jerry] Sandusky was brought up some way by me way back [then, during Franklin]...I got call after call after call from Pennsylvania."
Sandusky, who was convicted on 45 counts of child-sex abuse last month, was not the lone gunman in a far-reaching scandal that protected a storied football program over the safety and well-being of little children.
Earlier media reports -- barely mentioned in the mainstream media now -- established Sandusky as the figurehead for a more sinister role of providing children to wealthy and prominent alumni, according to respected publications like Andrew W. Griffin's Red Dirt Report in Oklahoma.
Ironically, several days after the Penn State scandal broke last fall, Penn State's football team played Nebraska.
"One of Sandusky's contacts was [here in Omaha]," DeCamp said. "Somehow those Pennysylvania people knew about it from my book; they said 'you brought it up in your book.'"
DeCamp's next media attention could come in the form of an ABC News 20/20 special.
The Lincoln-based lawyer was interviewed about three weeks ago along with Noreen Gosch, the mother of still-missing Johnny Gosch, a Des Moines newspaper delivery boy who was kidnapped in the mid-1980's.
Paul Bonacci, one of the victims of the Omaha Satanic ritual abuse scandal who was present at many parties involving high-level business and political leaders, is an eyewitness and direct participant in the kidnapping of Gosch. It should be noted, however, that Bonacci was forced to take part in some of the most horrific duties, many of which he said were led by "The Colonel," Lt. Col. Michael Aquino, a psychological warfare specialist who branched off a congregation of the Church of Satan called the Temple of Set.
Aquino was later implicated in the Presidio daycare child-sex scandal in San Francisco in the late 80's.
The Gosch family, in many published news reports, vindicate what Bonacci has said.
The Omaha ringleader in the Franklin scandal, once a rising star in the GOP, Larry King (not to be confused with the former CNN host), was sentenced to prison for his role in more than $39 million in missing funds from the Franklin Federal Credit Union in Omaha.
The missing money was only the beginning, however.
DeCamp said he was one of the original skeptics of the Satanic ritual child abuse scandal when he first heard allegations of it, but years worth of investigation, exhaustive research and countless interviews and depositions with victims made him a believer.
DeCamp was Bonacci's lawyer when they won a $1 million civil judgment against King, who was released from prison several years ago.
According to an active Website still following the Franklin story, King worked at a BMW dealership in Sterling, Virginia as late as 2011. This paper provided the address of that dealership (21826 Pacific Blvd. Sterling, Virginia 20166) to DeCamp, who noted that to date, not one dollar has been collected from King in the $1 million civil suit awarded to Bonacci.
With older children, including a daughter who is an Omaha-based lawyer, DeCamp is still as busy as ever in his Lincoln law firm, a bustling shop whose status will forever remain as the lighthouse in exposing an intricate and high-level Satanic pedophile ring whose octopus-like arms reached the very highest levels of the Nebraska and U.S. government.
Located at 414 S. 11th St. in downtown Lincoln, DeCamp said he still receives calls from people all over the country about Satanic ritual child abuse.
According to his Web site, DeCampLegal.com, "DeCamp graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1967, and has helped hundreds of injured people recover millions of dollars in compensation. Decorated by a president for his service in Vietnam, Mr. DeCamp is listed as one of eight outstanding Vietnam veterans, and organized the famous Operation Baby Lift in 1975.
