quote:I think we've got the winner here. I'm not keen on it myself, but I think Wilson Phillips are going to win. Oh, it's not Wilson Phillips? Well, I think the Wilson Phillips Tribute band from the Netherlands will win.
beautiful voices and rhythm..like them
I knew O'G3NE wouldn't let me down. A modern Wilson Phillips - Hold On was my first thought as well. I love it and I think the juries will too with those harmonies.
The Netherlands - really liking this, better than I expected. Can see this in the final, let's just hope for a decent performance.
Goes straight to my Top 5. Love it. Very Wilson sisters-esque.
The girls harmonize so well. The song is… fine. Not an instant hook like Moldova or Italy, but it’s quite lovely.
It’s good! I like old-fashioned, and especially when the vocal harmonies are that intricate and outstanding. The final minute of the song is particularly well-written. Juries will love this, and I hope the audience will too
I like it. I don’t think we’ll be in Amsterdam next year, but it goes in my top half after a first pass.
There is some potential for them to elevate this live, on stage.
It’s just so good. I’m not going to lie, I expected absolute crap because I hate these kinds of groups. But, the song is just great. Their harmonies are flawless, and the chorus has an amazing melody. I’m excited for this entry.
Very Christian
Wow, that early 00's soft RnB charity single kind of vibe is right up my alley.
quote:Nothing special at all! Beautiful voices but boring song! Ordinary. Sorry
Horrible song... Nothing but screams
Bad and boring
Very Christian
Not very memorable, is it?
Dull and the harmonies are bordering on shrill
Very disappointing… They could do so much more with these voices. This is not a bad song, it’ll surely qualify (especially in that weak semi-final), but it’s very dated and unoriginal.think this will qualify. Too anonymous
OMG malta wants their cheese back! I guess vocally will be oustanding, but the song is average and bland as hell...
such good singers, such a bland and boring song. ugh
Oh my god, it's fucking awful as hell.
quote:It can do "Sound Of Silence" (australie 2016 voor degene die het niet meer weet) type of result. Something not instantly outstanding in studio version, but blowing you away during live.

quote:I ❤️ Netherlands entry this year. I heard someone say Wilson Phillips vibes. That is totally it. If they can pull off those harmonies live O'G3NE will do very well this year, or at least deserve to.
quote:This song is a little dated and the lyrics are border-line cheesy, however the harmonies and vocal skills of the girls are technically faultless! The simplicity of the music video is great in my opinion, and with some amazing and captivating stage design (CL 2014), I believe that The Netherlands and O3GENE could aim for a spot in the Top 15, even a Top 10 is not impossible depending on the quality of the remaining songs.
quote:I can’t get over how impeacable their vocal harmonies are and how far they’ve come sicne their badly performed JESC entry in 2007.
I feel this song will shine live on the big stage and that will give it a big boost.
I appreciate the personal touch of the lyrics and I am waiting to see to what extend they will bring it visually on stage – I hope they won’t go too far and in your face with it. Subtlety is the key here. Their voices alone can deliver the message.
I can see The Netherlands high on the scoreboard yet again this year.
quote:I love the harmonies these girls are capable of and you all know I love vocal ensembles that work well. The song is nothing to write home about, but I was expecting worse stuff – 9th on my list for now. If they nail it live, this could do very well. Good luck.
quote:On Holland: All I hear is harmonising for three minutes with no clear and discernible melody. I find it quite tiresome and with the way they are singing any sort of message or personal story does not come out at all. I don’t know if the juries will like this but I see it struggling in the televote.
quote:Now the we’ve heard the Dutch sisters sing live (thanks for the link, Dimitri), I am ready to support their song; they’re pitch perfect and they do not need to shout to shows us their worth; the lyrics are a bit cheesy and the melody is not the best in the world either, but this is quality cheese and it stands out in a sea of shouty and hollow ballads. Well done, ladies
quote:I know that people are saying about Great vocals can't make bland song's better, but I so disagree. Yesterday I didn't like it now I love it ♥
Just caught up with Netherlands... I was just thinking Wilson Philips when I started reading the same here. It's better than I expected but not my thing - they just need to pull of the harmonies on the night.
Funnily, in a way this reminds me of Loreen, in that it isn’t a good/catchy song musically but they milk the hell out of what they have. Loreen turns it into compelling stage art and O’G3ne do more key changes, harmonies and fake endings that you can shake a stick out. Neither song is made for the radio/repeat listens but both are built to (potentially) be very compelling on stage.
I have to say The Netherlands' entry has really grown on me. The last minute or so is killer.
I really like that actually. It's better than most of their singles that they have released. Should be a qualifier, yes it's a ballad but their harmonies will make it stand out from the other ballads.
I expected it to be a BIT Wilson Phillips, but wow It's dated as all hell, but I do find it quite rousing and the harmonies are beautiful. Should qualify I think.
The harmonies are great but the problem with them is you can't pick out the melody when the 3 of them are harmonising. So it's impossible to sing along to or get stuck in your head.
