Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) attempted to break-through the enemy front-lines at Tal Qarassi this morning; however, Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) managed to repel the attack after several hours of battle.
The Tiger Forces would regroup and then launch a second attack at Tal Qarassi, which proved successful after a short firefight with Jaysh Al-Fateh.
Following the capture of Tal Qarassi, the Syrian Armed Forces seized Tal ‘Amarah, Barandeh, and Qarassi village after breaking through Jaysh Al-Fateh’s first-line of defense.
With the capture of Qarassi, the Tiger Forces are now within striking distance of the strategic village of Khan Touman.
Khan Touman is located along the Aleppo-Damascus Highway (M-5 Highway); it is the primary roadway used by the jihadist rebels to transport supplies and reinforcements to Aleppo City.
