well I think the majority of students bikes on a grandma's bike... which is a female model bike. I have never heard any guy being embarresed using one.

Especially in larger cities a womans bike is more practical because it's easier to step off in traffic.

I couldn't care less what kind of bike you ride around on (unless its one of those punk ass low rider things...), had a granny bike myself for ages. And a mint green one as well at some point.
Some nuances on the bike helmets. On a regular bike its a deffenite no go, on a racefiets however... Mine is baby blue!
