Verwachten de kenners hier dat er nog een volgend seizoen komt van Under the Dome?
quote:CBS renews 'Under the Dome' and 'Extant,' cancels 'Reckless'
CBS is sticking with its sci-fi series. The network has renewed Under the Dome and Extant, EW has learned. Additionally, freshman drama Reckless has been canceled. There’s no decision yet on the fate of Unforgettable.
Under the Dome recently closed its second season, which averaged 11 million viewers and a 2.7 in the 18-49 demographic. Extant, meanwhile, ended its first season with 5.4 million viewers and a 1.0, actually up from its penultimate episode, but a far cry from the 9.58 million and 1.6 who tuned in to watch Halle Berry as an astronaut in the series premiere. The series averaged 8.64 million and 1.7 throughout its first season. The low-rated soapy legal drama Reckless averaged roughly 4 million viewers and 0.6 during its first season.
“We’re committed to delivering our viewers and advertisers year-round programming with a wide variety of storytelling,” CBS Entertainment Chairman Nina Tassler said in a statement. “We continue to see summer as a great place for unique concepts, innovative business models, and passionate television audiences.”
Under the Dome and Extant will return next summer.

quote:ABC gives full season orders to 'How to Get Away with Murder,' 'Black-ish'
ABC is the first out of the gate with full-season orders, picking up drama How to Get Away with Murder and comedy Black-ish.
Shondaland’s Murder, which stars Viola Davis as an ethically dubious criminal law professor, has become the top series debut of the fall. The series delivered a whopping 14 million viewers and a 3.8 rating among adults 18-49 in its debut. The season will have 15 total episodes.
The Anthony Anderson comedy Black-ish, meanwhile, debuted strong with 10.8 million viewers and a 3.3. The series had the highest-ever retention of Modern Family viewers for a regular comedy debut in the post-Family slot. The season will include 22 total episodes.
The jury is still out on ABC’s other freshman series that have already debuted, Manhattan Love Story and Selfie, whose ratings have been pretty anemic.

quote:NBC Cancels Comedy 'Mission Control' Before Premiere
The space comedy starring Krysten Ritter has been canceled ahead of its anticipated midseason debut, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Mission Control, from Universal Television-based Gary Sanchez Productions, was a female-driven workplace comedy that took place in the 1960s.
The single-camera comedy was in the vein of Anchorman and starred the Apartment 23 alum as a strong woman who butts heads with a macho astronaut (The Mindy Project's Tommy Dewey) in the race to land on the moon.
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's David Hornsby penned the script and exec produced alongside Gary Sanchez's Adam McKay and Will Ferrell.
Sources tell THR that there were casting issues on the comedy, which underwent some recasting days after it was picked up to series after Michael Rosenbaum exited the series.
After issues recasting some of the roles beyond Ritter, NBC ultimately decided to scrap the series completely.
Mission Control becomes the latest broadcast series this season to be scrapped before its premiere. Fox also dropped Hieroglyph and NBC axed Emerald City, though both were picked up straight to series.

quote:FOX Cuts 'Mulaney' Order From 16 to 13 Episodes
FOX has cut the order for its low rated first-season comedy Mulaney to 13 episodes from its original 16, per Deadline,. The network made the call after the show finished production on episode 13. While it's not quite an official cancellation, it's certainly an acknowledgement that FOX does not plan to air more than 13 episodes. Mulaney premiered to a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating two weeks ago, then rose to a 1.1 this week. The numbers are on par with FX's Tuesday night comedies, but significantly slower than the rest of FOX's strng Sunday night comedy block.
