Today, the organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest have revealed that it’s the Wiener Stadthalle that will be the arena for the upcoming contest. What is this arena all about?
It is located in the 15th district of Vienna and it was designed by the Austrian architect Roland Rainer and built from 1953 to 1958.
The arena has an overall seating capacity of approximately 16,000 people. This depends largely on the equipment installed at the arena but even more so on the stage. The amount of available capacity for all the shows will be announced in the upcoming months when these details are finalised.

The 60th Eurovision Song Contest is set to take place in Vienna, Austria on the 19th, 21st and 23rd of May.
Erg jammer, inderdaad.
(en da's misschien verstandig ook )quote:The BBC is asking the public to submit entries for the UK's entry to next year's Eurovision Song Contest for the first time since 2008.
The broadcaster has said it will consider video submissions in an open call to find "a brilliant song" and a "brilliant performer".
