quote:Who do you think are favourites to win the Six Nations and why?
Jamie Roberts: It’s hard to look past France, the quality of their players and their league. I would like to say Wales are favourites but France purely for the fact that they got to a World Cup final.
Ben Foden: Probably Wales. If you look at their World Cup final with France, they could have easily won it if Sam Warburton hadn't been sent off early in the game.
Willie-John McBride: It’s a hard question because we don’t know too much about England. Wales have been going well and I’d say it’s between them and Ireland. They produced the best match of the World Cup and it could have gone either way.
Sean Lamont: Wales are the team to watch this season especially with the way they played in the World Cup and they will be dangerous again in the Six Nations.
Will there be a Grand Slam this year, like Ireland in 2009 and Wales in 2008?
Roberts: Fingers crossed it’s us. It’s all down to that first game. You target it, Ireland away. Hopefully, it’s the same scenario as England away at Twickenham in 2008. We go out there and turn them over. It’s got all the ingredients to be a classic.
Foden: It would be very unexpected if it was because the competition is so fierce between all the teams. Italy are always capable of upsetting somebody and you've got to perform in all five games.
McBride: I don’t think so because there’s also France to consider. They were hopeless at the World Cup and then put in a tremendous performance in the final. You never know what you’re going to get with them.
Lamont: I am not sure there will be. Everybody is capable of beating each other and the tournament is much closer than it used to be. You need to be a very strong side to win five games in seven weeks.
