The judge in the Conrad Murray involuntary manslaughter case has allowed prosecutors to present TWO photos taken at Michael Jackson's autopsy to be used as evidence at trial.

TMZ has learned ... one of the photos shows the pop star clothed -- while laid out on a gurney.

The other photo shows Jackson's naked body -- but the judge explained "certain parts" will be "blocked out." He didn't explain which parts.

The judge ruled the photos are relevant under the evidence code -- and are "not gruesome, graphic or inflammatory."

O shit.

Al had ik eerder detailfoto's verwacht of zo (van wondjes v.d. naalden of zo), wat heb je nou aan een foto van het hele lichaam?

Die "certain parts" zullen toch wel zijn wat ik denk dat ze zijn, mag ik hopen.

In augustus in LA, dagje courthouse lijkt me wel geinig, al is 3 maanden voor zo'n zaak wel vrij lang misschien

Autopsy images of Michael Jackson allowed at trial

LOS ANGELES Images of Michael Jackson in life and death will be shown to jurors at his doctor's trial, a judge ruled Thursday, after a prosecutor promised restraint while using autopsy photos that might upset the singer's family.

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor also said he will allow prosecutors to screen segments of the concert movie "This Is It" for jurors in highly redacted form to show the pop star's mental and physical state in the days before his death.

"I don't think this should be entertainment," the judge said. "We should not feel deprived of our 99-cent iTunes if we don't hear the whole song."

Pastor said only two autopsy photos will be allowed of Jackson's body laid out on a coroner's examining table.

In one image, the singer is swathed in a hospital gown. In the other, he is nude, with portions of his anatomy obscured, prosecutors said.

"Although they are tragic, they are not gruesome or gory," Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said.

The defense had asked to bar autopsy photos, saying the images would inflame the passions of the jury.

Walgren, however, was adamant about the need to show Jackson's physical condition to bolster the prosecution claim that Jackson was healthy when he died of an overdose of the anesthetic propofol and other sedatives allegedly administered by defendant Dr. Conrad Murray.

"This is a homicide and we can't pretend it's not a homicide," Walgren said.

The judge agreed the photos were needed. He recalled testimony from the preliminary hearing in which witnesses said Jackson was exceedingly thin and one witness described him as looking like a hospice patient.

Walgren said he was aware that Jackson's family would be in court and said the pictures will be carefully displayed. When he showed them to Pastor, the judge found they were not graphic or gruesome, as the defense contended.

Regarding the video footage, Pastor said only relevant portions of Jackson's performance on "Earth Song" and "The Way You Make Me Feel" can be shown to jurors.

"Earth Song" is a colorful tribute to the environment that prosecutors say was the last piece Jackson recorded the day before he died.

"What's admitted will be Michael Jackson singing. What will not be received will be a picture of a cute little girl and orcas and flower and fauna," the judge said.

Defense attorney Edward Chernoff objected to showing the film footage, claiming it was edited to present Jackson in the best light.

Pastor said prosecutors can only show footage from Jackson's rehearsals on the two days before his death on June 25, 2009.

Murray, a Houston-based cardiologist, has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Authorities have accused him of giving Jackson a lethal dose of propofol in the bedroom of his rented mansion.

Murray's attorneys have suggested in recent months that the singer may have given himself the fatal dose.

In other rulings, Pastor said:

_ Prosecutors can have several of Murray's mistresses testify during the trial, but some salacious details should be omitted. For instance, Pastor said he didn't want to hear any references to the strip clubs where Murray met some of them.

_ Prosecutors cannot refer to Murray's child support issues or how many children he has.

_ Defense attorneys cannot probe Jackson's financial condition, saying it would turn the trial into "a slug fest which inflames the jury and has no end." The defense has claimed Jackson was despondent over debts.

_ Ruled out the use of statements made by Murray to his forensic experts in which he appeared to change some of the details previously given to police about Jackson's treatment.

The judge said experts cannot act as "parrots" to get hearsay statements of the defendant before the jury.

The prosecution suggested if Murray wants to tell his story, he should do it from the witness stand.

Opening statements were scheduled for May 9.

Vrees dat je te laat bent in augustus. Zes weken, wordt er gemeld.

Dank je Robijn voor die info Het lijkt idd wel een redelijke rechter. Maar dat is dus niet dezelfde als die van de preliminary hearings? Die met het beruchte bureau vol zonnebloemen en gele speelgoed-taxi's.

Zullen die foto's gaan uitlekken of alleen maar één keer worden laten zien aan de pers in de rechtzaal zodat ze de foto's kunnen gaan omschrijven?

Volgens mij is dat in Amerika altijd openbaar.

Net als dat fragment in de rechtzaal waar hij uitleget hoe hij het ene liedje op het andere heeft gebaseerd.

Vrolijk Pasen allemaal

Heb het even opgezocht over de rechter, maar het is dezelfde als van de preliminary hearings: Michael Pastor. Die zonnebloemen en gele taxi's had ie volgens mij alleen op een locatie vlakbij een vliegveld, ze hadden bij die hearings verschillende locaties.

Van de week heb ik een live uitzending van TMZ gevolgd, daarin zei Harvey Levin (zelf advocaat) dat de twee autopsie foto's net als bij de rechtzaak van OJ Simpson op delicate wijze getoond zullen worden aan de jury.
Maar dat er altijd een kans op uitlekken is....

Tja, een beetje riooljournalist zal er natuurlijk alles aan doen om die foto's te pakken te krijgen. We wachten wel af... Eveneens een vrolijk Pasen aan allen

Als ze wel in de pers komen ga ik ze op een rustig moment bekijken.
Vroeg of laat kom je er toch mee in aanraking, dan liever rustig een keer thuis dan ze onverwacht ergens tegenkomen in een roddelblad in de supermarkt/wachtkamer of op internet....

Stel je voor dat zijn kinderen die foto's per ongeluk zien..

Al ga ik er van uit dat zij hun vader hebben gezien toen hij opgebaard was en weten hoe hij er dood uitzag (wel anders dan naakt op een brancard, dat wel)...

Is die ene beroemde ambulancefoto wel echt dan?

Volgens getuigen a la bodyguards waren zijn kinderen er zelfs bij toen hij werd gereanimeerd in zijn slaapkamer en al half dood lag te gaan... Best heftig voor 12/13 jarigen en vooral voor Blanket die jonger is...

Hmm....zat er net aan te denken om toch naar dat Tito-concert te gaan (ook al vind ik 35 euro voor Tito wel een beetje veel maar oke), blijkt dat het hele concert is afgelast....

Ja, schijnt nogal moeilijk te zijn om je geld terug te krijgen....ben ik blij dat ik niet direct kaarten besteld heb...had zoiets van; ik kijk nog wel even.

Ik denk dat de verkoop tegenviel en dat er daarom besloten is om het af te lassen...
De enige reden voor mij om misschien te gaan was dat het de broer van Michael is, ik ga er van uit dat dat voor de meesten de reden was en tja, zoveel 'freaky' fans zijn er niet te vinden .

Lag wel in de lijn der verwachting natuurlijk, dat het werd afgelast.

Ik wacht nog steeds op het daverende tributeconcert van Jermaine

Ja, idd, had verwacht dat het concert al lang was geweest vanwege zijn financiële problemen

Gok- en entertainmenthoofdstad van de wereld Las Vegas krijgt er een nieuwe bezienswaardigheid bij. Het Mandalay Beach Resort wordt omgetoverd tot een herdenkingsattractie voor de in 2009 overleden popkoning Michael Jackson. Dat heeft de hoogste baas van Cirque du Soleil en initiatiefnemer van het project Daniel Lamarre vandaag bekendgemaakt.

'Deze plek, Mandalay Bay, zal het huis worden van Michael Jackson, op veel, heel veel, manieren', zei Lamarre.

Het is overigens niet zo dat Mandalay Bay nu een onbeduidend stukje Las Vegas is. Het protserige complex beschikt namelijk over een heus strand, vandaar ook de naam. Let wel: Las Vegas ligt midden in de woestijn.

Museum
Maar het hotel krijgt dus meer. Zo komt er een lounge geïnspireerd op de zanger, een museum met snuisterijen uit de inboedel van de King of Pop, en een theater dat een replica zal zijn van het huis van Jackson. De mensen achter het project hopen met hun plannen veel Jackson-fans te trekken. John Branca, een van hen, zegt: 'Maar weinig fans zullen ooit Michaels Neverland ranch bezoeken, omdat het zo afgelegen ligt. Nu kunnen ze dat alsnog doen.' In 2013 moet het hele project klaar zijn.

Het is voor Cirque du Soleil niet het eerste Michael Jackson-gerelateerde project. Binnenkort gaat de nieuwe wereldtournee van het circus in première, Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour geheten. Daarin is veel plaats voor de hits en de videoclips van de zanger.
