Square Enix has announced that the PSone version of Final Fantasy V will be seeing release on the PlayStation Network in Japan this spring. En III gaan ze daarvan die NDS remake uitbrengen, of wordt het een SNES achtige versie, net zoals ze met I en II hebben gedaan?
Ik vind het echt zonde dat Square Enix veel te lang werkt aan iets en waarvan de kwaliteit nog altijd matigjes is, lijkt mij moeilijk om op deze manier nog winstgevend te zijn zonder honderden remakes uit te brengen.

Dat is nog niet bekend. Meest logische lijkt MIJ de NDS versie, maar er schijnt nog ergens een WonderSwan versie rond te dwalen die nooit afgemaakt is. Lees op NeoGAF dat veel mensen hopen dat die versie het wordt i.v.m. de artstyle.quote:

Ja volgens mij zouden ze 1 t/m 4 op de Wonderswan uitbrengen maar zijn ze na 2 gestopt omdat er verder nauwelijks meer iets voor deze handheld gemaakt werd.

Alleen 3 is niet uitgebracht van die vier. Er ging toen een gerucht dat de broncode van 3 verdwenen was en dat het het niet meer waard was om voor de WonderSwan te maken.quote:

Xbox 360 owners have been wanting to hear whether or not Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be arriving on their system. Speaking on their Twitter account, V Jump has stated that it is indeed a misprint on their part, and that Square Enix intends to keep the game on PlayStation 3.

Ever since Final Fantasy IV was announced to be heading to the PlayStation Portable, we've been hearing a lot of mention about a scenario that connects the original game to The After Years sequel. Square Enix has now started calling this scenario Interlude, and finally provided a few details. In Interlude, a few years after the main game you control Cecil, of course, and it will start off at a ceremony celebrating the recovery of Damcyan Castle. You'll encounter many of your allies at the ceremony.
Alongside the updated graphics and the gallery mode, Takashi Tokita, who oversaw Interlude, also made mention of the option for players to choose between the game's original music, and arranged tracks. (Sound familiar? This is staring to become a fad - Persona 2: Innocent Sin for PSP has a similar option.)
Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection will be released on March 24th in Japan and on April 19th in North America.
