The "Chernobyl Lamb Tapes" are an alleged series of video tapes found in an apartment in the Ukranian ghost town Pripyat. The tapes are heavily distorted as though they'd been copied over many, many times before. According to legend, all the tapes feature a black and white recording of a boy in denim suspenders holding a lamb on a leash. The boy supposedly has clear, milky white eyes. There were apparently numerous tapes featuring this child were found in the apartment, but the most notable 3 of which show the child walking his lamb towards the Chernobyl Nuclear Powerplant with the date on the recording being April 26, 1986, the day of the infamous Chernobyl Nuclear Powerplant meltdown. The first of the 3 featuring the CNPP just has the child slowly shambling towards the powerplant, which can be seen on the horizon, with the lamb at his side. This tape has no audio. After a couple of minutes, it cuts out. the second one has distorted, though understandable audio. It features the boy, still holding his lamb, approaching CNPP staff asking for his mother. All the people he asks ignore him, continuing their work as though he wasn't there. It cuts out from this scene and then returns with the child close up to the camera, the CNPP clearly visible on the horizon behind him, crying and begging what is assumed to be the person holding the camera for his mother to which a hardly audible voice repeatedly replies 'No'.

The 3rd tape starts out by showing a grandfather clock as it strikes 1:23 am (the exact time of the CNPP meltdown) and then cuts to the boy only a couple dozen meters away from the powerplant, this time without his lamb. A light gets brighter and brighter behind him and when it is nearly blinding on the camera, the video abruptly cuts out. The boy in the tapes has never been identified and no one knows who's currently in possession of them.
