Gisteravond naar Wooden Shjips en THe Heads in 013 geweest. Over het algemeen kan je zeggen dat het wel ok was. Wooden shjips speelden het leukst, een min puntje was wel dat de nrs een beetje kort duren, juist bij zulke muziek vind ik het tof als nummers lekker lang zijn. The heads speelden een beetje routineus imho.
Dat rookverbod is wel iets raars trouwens, ik rook allemaal mensen ipv dikke Ganja luchten...

Wooden Shjips speelden een mooie set.
Heads waren weer tof hoewel ik ze wel heftiger heb meegemaakt. Ze hadden van mij nog wel een uurtje langer mogen doorspelen trouwens. Het licht was ik niet zo over te spreken. Bij The Heads hoort een vette hypnotiserende lichtshow met veel geflits.
De videoshow van Roadburn zag er gelikt uit. Stel erg gave effecten die ik nog niet eerder gezien had.

GIsteravond was gaaf ja. Kende van allebei de bands niet echt bijster veel, dus 't was sowieso een behoorlijk verassing eigenlijk, en dit beviel best wel goed.
Weet iemand ook of Pharaoh Overlord - #1 op vinyl te krijgen is? Zoek er al een poosje naar maar nergens te vinden.
Van PO heb ik nog niets op vinyl gezien helaas.
Dat vorige album van Sleeping Karma was een aangename verrassing. Volgens mij heb ik dat album nog lopen spammen. Sleeping Karma was op Roadburn live ook prima.

Net even geluisterd op myspace maar ik ben eigenlijk wel een beetje uitgekeken op dit soort bands, met name de vocalen. Het lijkt allemaal op elkaar.

Roadburn is very pleased to invite our spiritual brethren from Neurosis to host a European version of their "Beyond The Pale" festival. We couldn't imagine anyone being more attuned to the atmosphere and energy of Roadburn than Neurosis, and offering them the opportunity to stage the first ever "Beyond The Pale" outside of the U.S. is our way of honoring their enormous contributions to underground music as well as their iconic style and sound.
On Saturday, April 25, Neurosis will have complete freedom to invite all the bands and set the lineups for each of the stages. Roadburn 2009 will run for three days from Thursday, April 23 to Saturday, April 25 at the 013 venue in Tilburg, Holland. There will be an additional afterburner event on Sunday, April 26, 2009. More info will follow.

The Freeks is het nieuwe project van voormalig Nebula drummer Ruben Romano. De band leest als een soort van all star stoner project: Isaiah Mitchell [Earthless], Glen Slater [Wellwater Conspiracy], Carl Horne [Zen Guerrilla], Andy Duvall [Zen Guerrilla] & Ruben Romano [Nebula].
Verwacht een fikse dosis gitaar psychedelica...
Radio Moscow: "Scorching guitars straight out of Hendrix's grab bag produced by the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, this is a must for fans of gnarly guitar shredding rooted in the blues"
