En van Danger Man en The Prisoner, twee topseries uit de jaren '60. Ik keek pas nog op z'n IMDb pagina, en wist niet dat hij overleden was.

He guest starred in Gunsmoke thirteen times, often playing a crook, whether dangerous or bumbling. He was also in a few episodes of Bonanza with Michael Landon at that time. He played the recurring character "Agent 13" in the series Get Smart in 1965-1966, where he portrayed an undercover spy who showed up in the worst, most unlikely of places (like a mailbox or a porthole in a boat).

French is most widely known for costarring with Michael Landon on two television series:
Little House on the Prairie (1974-1977), (1981-1983, 1984) as Isaiah Edwards (French also directed some episodes of Little House).

From 1977-79, he left "Little House" to star as a sheriff in Carter Country. When the series ended, the actor was surprised that Michael Landon was agreeable to returning the character of Mr. Edwards. French appeared in Episode 8 of Season 6, in Episode 8 of Season 8, then returned full time, starting with Episode 19 of Season 8.
His father Ted French was also an actor and stuntman who appeared in westerns in the 1940s. He also appeared with his son Victor in one episode of Gunsmoke entitled "Prime Of Life" in 1966, as well as a war film in 1963 called The Quick And The Dead. Ted French died in 1978
Death
Victor died of lung cancer on June 15, 1989 in Los Angeles, California. He was cremated. His ashes were scattered in Santa Barbara. Saddened by the loss of a longtime friend and co-star Michael Landon abruptly ended Highway to Heaven. Landon would also die of cancer 2 years later.
In 1998, French was inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

In the '70s, "Maude" was ahead of the social curve, tackling hot topics not usually mentioned on situation comedies -- pornography, race relations and, in an episode titled "Maude's Dilemma," abortion.
That episode spawned demonstrations and generated hate mail for Arthur -- when Maude and husband Walter (Bill Macy) decided on that episode they were too old to raise a child.
But many saw Maude as an enduring icon for women's liberation -- a big deal for the shy, Jewish girl born Bernice Frankel in New York City.
During the Depression, Arthur's family left the Big Apple and opened a clothing store in Cambridge, Maryland. By the time she was 12, Arthur was nearly 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and self-conscious about her height.
But she masked her insecurity with comedy and eventually returned to New York to study acting. Along the way, she had a short-lived marriage she never spoke about, but she kept the last name -- Arthur.
The young Bea Arthur earned a living singing and doing stage work on Broadway and off-Broadway. Critics delighted in her haughty, serpent-tongued deliveries.
Her first television appearance came in 1951 in a long-forgotten series called "Once Upon a Tune," but she quickly made a name for herself with appearances on "Studio One," "Kraft Television Theatre" and "The Sid Caesar Show."
Arthur drew attention in "Threepenny Opera" on Broadway with Lotte Lenya, but she really turned heads in 1964 originating the role of Yente the Matchmaker in "Fiddler on the Roof."
In 1966, Arthur won a Tony Award for the caustic Vera Charles in the play "Mame," playing opposite Angela Lansbury in the title role. Eight years later, she reprised the role in the film version opposite Lucille Ball, but by then she was already well-established as Maude.
Arthur left "Maude" in 1978, making television and some film appearances afterward. She starred in a short-lived series, "Amanda's," in 1983 and then joined the cast of "The Golden Girls" in 1985 with Betty White, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty.
Her role as Dorothy Zbornak gave Arthur her other major television success as one of four older women -- Getty, the youngest of the four, played Arthur's mother -- living together in Florida. The role earned Arthur a second Emmy -- the first was for "Maude."
Arthur left the show after Dorothy remarried at the end of the 1991-92 season. White, McClanahan and Getty continued for another season on the show, renamed "The Golden Palace," but the show lasted only one season without Arthur.
Arthur entered semi-retirement after the show ended in 1992, returning to television in sporadic guest appearances and appearing at several celebrity roasts. In the early part of this decade, Arthur appeared in several one-woman shows.
Her last stage appearance was in 2006. Her last television appearance was on "The View" in 2007.

Mollie speelde de rol van de felgepruikte Betty Slocombe in Are You Being Served? van 1972 tot 1975. Ze is verder ook bekend van haar rollen in de komedies Come Back Mrs Noah, That’s My Boy en My Husband And I.
Haar agent Joan Reddin laat weten dat haar tweelingzoons Robin en Simon Moore bij haar waren toen ze na een lang ziekbed overleed in het Royal Surrey Hospital. "Mollie was een heerlijk mens om mee samen te werken. Ze was heel professioneel."
De actrice moest in 2000 afscheid nemen van haar man, acteur William Moore. Volgens Reddin is ze daar nooit overheen gekomen en begon ze daarna te kwakkelen met haar gezondheid.

Sinds de jaren 80 was zij actief in theater op televisie en in kleine rollen op het witte doek, zowel voor als achter de camera.
Recent onder andere in films als The Day the Earth Stood Still, The X Files: I Want to Believe, The Exorcism of Emily Rose en de Fantastic Four.
Ze heeft ook veel bijrollen vertolkd in televisie series als Smallville, The L-Word, Battlestar Galactica, Supernatural en The 4400.

LOS ANGELES - De Amerikaanse acteur Karl Malden is woensdag op 97-jarige leeftijd overleden. Hij stierf in zijn woning in Brentwood bij Los Angeles, meldde zijn agent.

Malden speelde in films als On the Waterfront, Patton en A streetcar named Desire. Voor zijn rol in die laatste film won hij in 1952 een Oscar voor de beste mannelijke bijrol.
Malden had een grote karakteristieke neus en felblauwe ogen. Hij is ook bekend van zijn rol als detective Mike Stone in de tv-serie The streets of San Francisco.

Ik weet niet of er mensen zijn die haar kennen,maar zij heeft in bold and the beautiful gespeeld als sally spectra. Ze is op 72 jarige leeftijd overleden aan maagkanker.
Ik heb ooit eens gehoord van mijn oma die graag naar the bold kijkt, dat sally was overleden.
En als het goed staat ze nog niet op de site.... Dus bij deze!!
