Ik vind veel B-kanten/EP-nummers/bonus-tracks nog beter dan de nummers op het tweede album. 'Open Up', 'An Eye For An Eye', 'Some Kind Of Spark', 'Banging Heads' en 'A Thousand Pieces' bijvoorbeeld. Zeer goede nummers. Jammer dat er op de nieuwe single geen nieuwe nummers staan.
Anyway, Tom's visie over de single-keuze:
quote:
New single is doing the rounds now.... ooohhhhh CONTROVERSIAL CHOICE EDITORS, what the hell are you doing? Well I don't know really, just thought that releasing Bones, Weight or Escape would've only pleased people who already have the record, existing fans I guess, I think Push has a chance of appealing to people who may not have listened to us much before, new people, God forbid! Anyway it'll probably sink like a stone, 4th single from the record and all, chart position really doesn't matter but we've gotta show a side of us that hasn't been released as a single before, Push does that, and let's face it it's a side to us that's been there from day one, Dust In The Sunlight was on our first ever release and it isn't a million miles away...anyway, you get it. Sexy black and white video, hope you like it.
Zoals ik zei, jammer van de ontbrekende nieuwe nummers...
quote:
NO NEW B-SIDES YOU BASTARDS....well sorry, all new material, lyrics, melodies, rhythms go towards album 3 now. The Electric Proms was one of our highlights of last year, we all think it was one of the best things we've ever done, and we also think that the vast percentage of Editors fans who don't share stuff online may want to hear some of it...if it really gets you down then don't buy it. I hate moaning, gets me down.
Ja, daar heeft-ie wel een punt.
Tom wordt binnenkort vader, trouwens.
