According to the mag, Cammie and John have known each other for awhile.
“This was technically not their first time hanging out…they’ve hung out together with friends before. But this was the first time together like this. It’s new and developing…but they really like each other and it went well,” a source tells Us.
Reps for the couple would not comment.
But Jessica Simpson’s camp will likely start shit talking very soon.

Ik begin werkelijk waar steeds meer een hekel te krijgen aan John als persoon... Waar hij eerst zich ging fok aantrok van de hele commerciėle / roddeljournalistieke bende rondom popmuziek, is hij tegenwoordig de favoriet van vele instellingen (ik noem een GAP, Volkswagen, PerezHilton), juist omdat hij eerst zoveel afstand er van nam.... Het erge ervan vind ik dat hij het tegenwoordig helemaal niet erg meer lijkt te vinden, en zelfs van de aandacht lijkt te genieten...
En toch betrap ik mezelf er elke keer weer op dat ik de troep lees

As Mayer dined inside, and by sheer coincidence no doubt, our cameraman says he saw Cameron Diaz drive by the restaurant -- but she did not stop and join her rumored plaything. Mayer came out and posed with some fans before walking away. Odd.
